Make Up artist Sylvie Hurford has worked extensively on many of South Africa’s sports, political and screen personalities featuring everyone from Lucas Radebe and Desmond Tutu, to rock and roll luminaries Arno Carstens and Karen Zoid and international models Rachel Roberts, Tania Fourie and Gina Athans.
Sylvie has done campaign work for Revlon, Yardley, Levis, Pepsi, Replay Jeans and Fragrance, Vaseline, Johnson & Johnson, Garnier, Martini, Maxmara and has completed makeup on the first ever campaign generated locally, for Africa, for cosmetics giant, Elizabeth Arden.
In addition to teaming up with top SA photogs she works with celebrated international photographers Koto Bolofo, Eamonn J Mc Cabe, Serge Geurand and Neil Kirk and notable American director Jaci Judelson.
She is a regular feature writer for Marie Clare magazine and is called upon in an expert capacity, both to feature and comment in a number of other titles.
Her current work is a beauty spread for Fair Lady shot by Antonia Steyn, The Woolworths winter beauty campaign and campaigns for La Lu cosmetics.
